All India Institute of Medical Sciences AIIMS is established in 1956 by the enactment of Act of Parliament. It is founded by the Prime minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru. AIIMS establishment was the dream of Jawaharlal Nehru and Amit Kaur. AIIMS offers courses like MBBS, B.Sc., M.Sc., MD, MS, DM, MDS and M.Ch. This institute is among top 10 Medical Colleges in India. The institute (AIIMS) is a residential University in which the faculty member, Staff and the students live campus. There are 8 hostels for undergraduate students (6 for boys and 2 for girls) with a capacity to accommodate 562 students.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences AIIMS – New Delhi
Situated in the country capital, AIIMS Delhi conducts research and teaching in 42 disciplines. AIIMS Delhi was ranked first among the medical colleges in India by the Week, Outlook India and India Today. Created as an autonomous institution, AIIMS Delhi was established in 1956. It serves as a nucleus for nurturing excellence in all aspect of healthcare. There are twenty-five clinical departments including four super speciality centres in AIIMS Delhi. It has a main campus located in Ansari Nagar in Delhi. Apart from that, AIIMS Delhi has another campus in Jhajjar or Badsa. The other campuses include AIIMS Ballabhgarh campus and AIIMS Ghaziabad campus. The institute manages a 60 bedded hospital Comprehensive Rural Health Centre at Ballabgarh in Haryana through which it provides a health cover to about 2.5 lakh population.
AIIMS Delhi runs a college of Nursing and trains students for B.Sc.(Hons.) Nursing post-certificate) degrees. The institute is renowned for providing speciality and super-speciality tertiary care services in more than 50 areas. With a well-equipped library, hostels, gym, swimming pool, basketball, volleyball, squash, soccer and tennis courts, AIIMS Delhi offers several undergraduates, post-graduate, and super-specialization courses. It also offers a doctorate degree. The class size is limited to 73 (MBBS) + 10 (MTR) + 19 (OPH) per year.

AIIMS Bhopal is one of the seven All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) which were established in 2012 under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY) by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. It is a medical research public institution located in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. AIIMS Bhopal offers graduation and post-graduation courses to students. Apart from Medical college, AIIMS Bhopal too has a hospital and Nursing college. The college employs an academic staff of around 550 people. As of 2016, 450 medical students were pursuing MBBS courses, 240 students were pursuing nursing degrees. The institute started the PG courses in 2017. AIIMS Bhopal takes 100 students for MBBS, and 60 for nursing every year.

AIMS Bhubaneswar operates under the aegis of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Established in 2012, this institution is situated outside the city of Bhubaneswar. It is divided into three sections – a hospital, a medical college and student housing area which is under construction. The hospital has 978 beds and is expected to get 350-bed satellite location in Kalama village. The medical college has 41 departments while the residential complex consists of three Boys hostels and two girls Hostels for Undergraduate Students of MBBS, Nursing, and Allied Sciences.

AIIMS Jodhpur is situated in the outskirts of Jodhpur city. The foundation stone of the AIIMS Jodhpur was laid back in 2004 by then Finance Minister Jaswant Singh while the institute became operational in 2012. From 2013, AIIMS Jodhpur started admitting 100 MBBS and 60 B.Sc Nursing (Hons) students. It began OPD services in 2013, MD courses in 2016 and postgraduate courses in 2017 with 20 departments and 56 seats.
All India Institute of Medical Sciences AIIMS – Patna
AIIMS Patna is also one of the six AIIMS which the government decided to set up in 2004. Officially known as Jayaprakash Narayan All India Institute of Medical Sciences, AIIMS Patna is a medical college and medical research public university which is based in Patna, Bihar. After a series of observations by Patna High Court, AIIMS Patna started operating on 25 December 2012. The first batch had 50 students; however, the intake was doubled in the following year. Currently, the institute has nearly 108 faculty members and also BSc. nursing students. The total bed strength procured by AIIMS – P is nearly 400.

AIIMS Raipur is situated in Raipur, Chattisgarh, at an accessible location. The campus comprises of a medical college, nursing institute, mortuary, hostels and a 930 hospital which is operational since February 2014. It also provides other facilities like low-cost medical care and treatment, IPD services, emergency services, and AYUSH services. The AIIMS Raipur is well equipped with Open Gymnasium, Volleyball Court, Badminton Court, Cricket Ground etc.

AIIMS Rishikesh started its academic session in 2012 with 50 MBBS students. As of now, there are 100 MBBS seats available for the students. Post-graduation in various fields is available in AIIMS Rishikesh.
All India Institute of Medical Sciences AIIMS – Mangalagiri
AIIMS Mangalagiri is one of the phase IV AIIMS which were announced in July 2014. The academic session of AIIMS Mangalagiri began in 2018 from a temporary campus at Government Siddhartha Medical College, Vijayawada. It is expected that the campus will remain temporary for two more years. The necessary faculty has been appointed in AIIMS Vijayawada for all eight departments. One lecture hall has also been refurbished with modern amenities.

Located in Nagpur city of Maharashtra, AIIMS Nagpur got approved in 2014 and commenced its academic session in 2018. Currently, operations have started in a temporary campus at Government Medical College and Hospital, Nagpur. Construction work on the permanent campus began in 2017 and is expected to be completed in 2021.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences 2020
AIIMS 2020 exams date has been announced, which will be conducted by the last week of May’20. The candidates give AIIMS 2020 exams across India. The AIIMS examination can be given after filling up the application form, which can be filled by January’20 first week.
The exam must be held by May’20 last week. AIIMS exam will be held online, it will be an Online Entrance Exam. The AIIMS exam will be of three hours and thirty minutes. It will be conducted in two shifts. The exam consists of 200 multiple choice questions which the candidates must complete within the allotted time.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences AIIMS 2020 Eligibility Criteria
- Indian Nationals
- Age
- Should have attained or will attain the age of 17 (seventeen) years as on the 31st of December of the year of admission.
- Candidates born on or after 2nd January, 2003 are NOT eligible to apply.
- Academic Qualification
- Candidate should have passed the 12th Class from I.SC. CBSE or any other state board an equivalent Examination of a recognized University/ Board of any Indian State with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subject.
- The candidates who have passed 10+2 level with Biology as an additional subject will also be eligible for MBBS Entrance Examination.
- Minimum Marks
- The minimum aggregate of the marks in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology obtained in the qualifying examination required for appearing in this examination are : General and OBC candidates: 60%, SC/ST candidates: 50% & PWBD candidates: 45%
- Those with CGPA grades only will have to apply the conversion factor in the application form. The conversion factor should be as approved by their respective examination board.
- Age
- Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) & Non-Rresident Indians (NRI): Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) registered under Section 7A of Citizenship Act 1955 & Non-Resident Indians (NRI) are also eligible to appear in this test and all terms and conditions applicable for Indian Nationals.
- Foreign Nationals: Foreign candidates nominated by the Government of India are required to have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in their Intermediate Science or an equivalent examination to be eligible for admission to the M.B.B.S. Course.

The basic registration of AIIMS examination will start from last week of November’19. A candidate willing to appear in the Entrance Examination is required to fill up Registration Form. The Registration will now be done in three stages:
- Basic Registration
- Generation of Code (for Final Registration)
- Final Registration
The final registration process will start from third week of February 2020 candidates need to submit academic details, choice of exam centre and application fee.
Procedure of filling Application Form
All applicants are required to register themselves for Basic Registration, Generation of Code (for Final Registration) and Final Registration (payment of Fee & city choice). After completing all above mentioned processes, the candidates will be eligible to appear in the AIIMS MBBS-2020 online (CBT) mode Entrance Examination scheduled on date (two shifts per day). The details of processes are as follows:
Basic Registration:
Only those candidates whose Basic Registration is completed will be eligible to complete the further stage of Registration i.e. Generation of Code (for Final Registration).
For Basic Registration Documents Required:
- A scanned color photograph (3.5 cm X 4.5 cm, width X height) with white background.
- Signature on a white paper with black ink.
- Left thumb impression on a white paper.
Generation of Code (for Final Registration)
The accepted candidates of Basic Registration will only be eligible to generate Generation of Code (for Final Registration).
Final Registration
Only those candidates whose Basic Registration is accepted and have generated the Generation of Code (for Final Registration) will be eligible to complete the processes of Final Registration. In this process the candidate will submit the fee through online processes and after submitting the fees he/she will be able to choose the city choice of the examination centre.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences AIIMS 2020: Admit Card
All India Institute of Medical Sciences AIIMS will issue the admit card for AIIMS-MBBS 2020 examination in the second week of May 2020, at http://mbbs.aiimsexams.org/. The release of admit card confirms that a candidate is eligible to appear for the entrance exam. The admit card of AIIMS MBBS 2020 is also known as hall ticket/entry ticket to the examination centre as without it candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall under any circumstances. The candidates are advised to download the admit card from the official website. It may be noted that admit card would not be posted to the candidates in any circumstances.
Things to carry in examination centre
- The candidates should carry admit card.
- A valid ID proof and one photograph (same as mentioned in the application form).
Things not to carry in examination centre
- Candidates should not bring pen/pencil in the examination hall. Pen and rough will be provided by AIIMS at the examination centre.
- Candidates should not bring any kind of wrist watches, cell phone, paper, calculator or any electronic gadget, Bluetooth devices etc. in the examination hall. These are strictly prohibited. ANY ELECTRONIC ITEM FOUND WITH THE CANDIDATE DURING EXAMINATION, EVEN IF SWITCHED OFF, WILL BE CONSIDERED AS AN ATTEMPT TO USE UNFAIR MEANS AND APPRORIATE ACTION WILL BE TAKEN.
- In addition to above, any type of Ornament, head gear, hair bands, hair clips, belt, bags, credit cards, debit cards, books are strictly prohibited at Examination Centre.
- No candidate should carry any text material, printed or written, bits of papers or any other material except a copy of Admit Card inside the examination hall.
AIIMS 2020 Exam Pattern
AIIMS 2020 exam pattern, the Competitive Entrance Examination will have one paper consisting of 200 Objective Type (Multiple Choice and Reason-Assertion type) questions from subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Knowledge/Aptitude. Automated Question paper will be provided either in English or in Hindi according to the choice of candidates. Applicants must choose in the application form whether he/she prefers to have the question paper in English or Hindi. This choice cannot be changed later at any stage. The general standard of the Competitive Entrance Examination will be that of 12th class under the 10+2 Scheme/Intermediate Science. No syllabus has been prescribed by the Institute for the examination.

AIIMS 2020 Results
AIIMS 2020 results will be released on June’20 first week. The results will be available on the website https://www.aiimsexams.ac.in/. Students can see the results on the website by entering the roll number (mentioned in the admit card). The result of all the candidates who have appeared in the entrance exam will be announced by the regulatory body which can be accessed by logging through the candidates’ portal.
