What is NEET/NEET-UG?
National Eligibility cum Entrance Test also called NEET-UG; Will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) on May 3, 2020. Alongside the exam date, NTA has additionally declared the NEET 2020 important dates related to registrations, admit cards, and results. NEET 2020 application form and authority notification will be released on December 2, 2019.
Last date to register for NEET Exam is December 31, 2019.
Through a public interview on October 4, 2019, Dr. Harsh Vardhan, the Minister of Health and Family Welfare, reported that the admission to 1205 AIIMS and 200 JIPMER undergrad (MBBS) seats will be done based on scores acquired in NTA NEET 2020. Therefore, candidates willing for admission to AIIMS and JIPMER institutes will be required to fill NEET application form 2020 before the due date. With this, the boom in the quantity of registrations is expected in NEET academic session 2020-21, to grab a seat in around 76,928 MBBS and 26,949 BDS seats available in 532 medical and 313 dental colleges all over India. A year ago, a sum of 15,19,375 applicants registered for NEET 2019, While, for the year 2018, CBSE saw the registrations of 13,26,725 candidates.

Correction into Form Details after NEET 2020 Registration
If there should be an occurrence of any discrepancies in the application form of NEET 2020, the authority will open the correction window in the second week of January. Aspirants can edit their pre-defined fields in the form before the last date. The applications acknowledged by NTA after the completion of the correction window can download NEET admit card 2020 from March 27 and onwards. Exam Pattern: NEET 2020
NEET 2020 question paper will contain as many as 180 multiple-choice questions. From the subject including Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany + Zoology). NEET Authority Answer Key will be released in the last week of May to compute the imprints to be scored by candidates. NTA will announce NEET-UG result 2020 by June 4. Only aspirants securing the minimum passing percentile will be considered qualified. NEET 2020 cut-off is the percentile to be secured to qualify for the entrance test. NEET 2020 Counseling
Utilizing the passing percentile, the authority will set up the merit list. In view of the All India Rank (AIR) in the NEET merit list, qualified students will be called for NEET counseling 2020. Procedure for admission to 15% All India Quota (AIQ), 85% State Quota seats, Deemed/Central colleges, private institutes, ESIC, and AFMS colleges. Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in the interest of Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) will lead NEET UG counseling for allotment in 15% AIQ seats, all seats from Deemed/Central colleges, and other ESIC just as AFMS colleges.
The admission to MBBS and BDS seats through NEET-UG will be done based on the rank secured, preferences of courses just as colleges, availability of seats, reservation criteria, and different factors. While the remaining 85% state portion seats will be respective state counseling committees based on NEET UG scores.
Language for Exam: NEET 2020
NTA (National Testing Agency) has decided that students can write NEET exams in Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, Assamese, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Odia, Urdu languages are added to the list so that students can write the exams in ten Indian languages and English. So, In total NEET examination can be given in 11 languages.
The candidates are allowed to give exam in 11 languages. They are as follow as:

Some important points to remember
- The Candidates are required to choose the medium of question paper at the time of filling up the application form. And once they have chosen the medium of question paper it cannot be changed.
- The main question paper will be set in English only. All the vernacular/regional questions will be the mere translation of the English question paper.
- Candidates who have chosen the English language would be provided the Test booklet in English only.
- Candidates who have chosen Hindi, vernacular or regional language would be provided a Bilingual Test Booklet; i.e. in respective language as well as in English.
- In case of any ambiguity or doubtfulness in the translation of a question in the test paper, its English version shall be treated as final and the decision of NTA shall be final.

NEET Eligibility Criteria
The candidate who wants to appear for the NEET i.e., National Eligibility cum Entrance Test the candidates must fulfill the prescribed eligibility criteria specified by NTA i.e., National Testing Agency. The detailed criteria for NEET examination should be met by the candidates appearing for the NEET exam is listed below:

Age-Limit:
- The Candidate must be 17 years old on or before the date of examination.
- There is no upper age limit for NEET 2020.
Minimum Qualification:
The candidate should have passed the class 12 examinations from a recognized board i.e., ICSE, CBSE, and other state boards.

Qualifying Percentage:
- General category – 50%
- SC/ST/OBC category – 40%
- Physically changed candidates – 45%
Exceptions:
Candidates who have completed class 12 from Open School are also eligible.
NEET Application Form
The candidates who want to sit for the NEET examination should fill up the application form released by NTA i.e., National Test Agency. The full process of filling up the application form is thoroughly online.

NEET 2020 Application Form Submission (Re-opened)
National Testing Agency has re-opened the process of submission of Application Form for the registered candidates. NTA, the conducting body has re-opened the submission portal of application form for the registered candidates from February 3, 2020 to February 9, 2020. This is the last opportunity to submit the application form and complete the process of registration. The candidates can fill in the remaining details, upload the scanned images, and pay the application fee.
Eventually, NTA has extended the application form filling date from December 31, 2019 to January 6, 2020. NTA has closed the registration fee deposit portal on January 7, 2020. So the candidates, who were unable to deposit the application fees by January 7, 2020, can deposit the application fee from February 3, 2020 to February 9, 2020.
NEET Application Form 2020 – Re-opens
The National Testing Agency has re-opened the fee deposit portal for submission of NEET application fee as the last opportunity. The candidates who have registered for the NEET exam successfully they have been provided with the extra time to complete the application process. Steps to be followed
Step I: Fill the application form and submit it. After the submission of the application form, the candidate gets registered for the NEET exam.
Step II: Fill up the complete information in the Application Form.
Step III: Upload the Scanned images of all the documents required for filling up the Application Form.
Step IV: Payment of Application fee online through Debit card, Credit card. Candidates can pay the fee offline through SBI e-challan to be paid in cash in the nearest SBI branch.
Step V: Print the status of receipt of online application form with fee.

NEET Application form Correction Window: Details
NTA has provided a Correction window for all the applicants to change certain fields after filling up the application form. This Correction Window will be opened in second week of January and remain open for two weeks. Since, only few fields can be changed by using this Correction Window so, students are advised to fill the form in first attempt only.

NEET 2020 Correction Window (Re-opens)
On March 13, 2020 the National Testing Agency (MHRD, Department of Higher Education, Government of India) has published the notice for the candidates of NEET (UG) 2020. The conducting body has given a last chance to the candidates of NEET for correcting their Application Form. As per the notice candidates can avail the facility of Correction Window from March 13, 2020 to March 19, 2020. The candidates are advised to check their Application Form to avoid any kind of hassle on the examination day.
Earlier, NTA has opened the Correction Window from January 15, 2020 to January 31, 2020. Candidates are allowed to make changes in 5 specified fields of the Application Form. The board has extended the date of online correction in the Application Form. If the students have missed the chance to fill up the Correction Form then they can do same from the official website of NTA. Candidates should not miss this opportunity from March 13, 2020 to March 19, 2020.
NEET Application Form – Correction Window 2020 – Re-opens

As NTA has announced the latest news of the NEET 2020 examination, it has bought relief for the candidates who are appearing for NEET 2020. National Testing Agency has allowed the students to make changes in their choice of examination city till April 14, 2020.
NTA has decided to further expand the date of making changes or corrections in the Application Form via Correction Window. Actually, NTA has issued a public notice on 1.04.20 regarding the accessibility of the correction facilities in the particulars of the Online Application Form of NEET-UG 2020.
Since the entire country is facing hardships due to the breakdown of COVID-19. The students requested to extend the date of the correction facility to choose the examination city center which is near to their hometown. So, students can avoid long-distance travel.
NTA Public Notice
There is a scope of changing the examination city centres opted by the applicants of NEET UG 2020. The decision has been taken as precautionary measure and NTA has published a notice on their official website.
As per the notice, NTA will try to allocate the city of examination centre to the candidates of their choices. However, if the availability of examination city center limit exceeds so the administration is unable to provide the desired examination city to students. Then the administration can provide different cities to the candidates and further the decision of testing agency would be final.
The Public Notice issued by NTA states that the candidates can operate the Correction Window till 5 PM on April 14, 2020. And the candidates can submit their fee up to 11.50 PM on April 14, 2020. Candidates are advised to verify their particulars and make necessary changes whenever required. The number of fees can be paid via Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, and PAYTM. Candidates, you must correct the necessary fields carefully because may be you can’t get another chance to correct them.
Apart from the changes made in NEET Exam Centres the candidates can also make changes in other fields of their Application Form. There are almost 37 Examination Cities Centres allotted by testing agency for the aspirants who wish to sit for NEET 2020. The examination centre can be changed from the official website of NTA.
Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Minister for Human Resource Development (MHRD) twitted about the extension of making changes in the choice of cities for the exam center. He said, “NEET (UG) 2020 applicants, in the view of current #COVID19 situation, I have advised @DG_NTA to further expand the scope of making corrections in the application forms allowing students to include the choice of cities for centres”.

The verdict of Supreme Court: Not to Postpone NEET 2020
On Aug 17, 2020, the Supreme Court of India has given its verdict on two PILs i.e. Public Interest Litigations filed for JEE Main and NEET. There were two Pleas consisting of two different petitions. One petition demanding the further Postponement of NEET and JEE Mains. On the other hand, the second petition requesting no further delay in scheduled dates of examinations.
Today, the SC bench head Justice Arun Mishra passed the verdict in favor of no further Postponement of entrance exams. The SC hears the plea by 11 students seeking to defer JEE & NEET exams but the bench dismisses the petition.

Exam Date for NEET 2020 – July 3, 2020: Recent Update
NEET 2020 – On September 13, 2020, as per the decision of MHRD. The NTA i.e., National Testing Agency conducting body of NEET 2020 has postponed the examination twice this year. NEET 2020 which was scheduled to be held on May 3, 2020; but due to the outbreak of COVID-19 all the exams in the country were postponed. Aspirants got enough time to prep for their NEET examination. On July 3, 2020; Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, the MHRD announced the new examination date of NEET in a live webinar. He declared September 13, 2020; as the new test date for the NEET aspirants.
NTA – Public Notice
As per the notice published by NTA, this year’s NEET exam rescheduled for September 13 but the allotment of Admit card is expected to be released two weeks before the test date. The test will be conducted via pen-paper mode that means offline. However, innumerable cases of coronavirus are increasing day-by-day so the probability of exam postponement is still uncertain.
Exam Date for NEET 2020 – May 5, 2020
On May 5, 2020; in a live Webinar Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, the MHRD officially announced the new exam date of NEET 2020. The new exam date of NEET 2020 is July 26, 2020. As the students have requested for a live session with to Minister about the discussion of JEE and NEET exam dates, the MHRD had conducted a webinar for the students. Students have reacted positively to the announcement of the NEET 2020 new exam date over social media. National Testing Agency and MHRD have jointly taken the decision of conducting the NEET exam in July as the final decision. NEET aspirants can download their Admit Cards two weeks before the examination. The final date for downloading the Admit cards are yet to be disclosed.
How to download NEET 2020 Admit Card?

- Click on “Download NEET admit card 2020”.
- Enter Application number, Date of Birth, Security PIN.

How to retrieve application number for NEET admit card 2020?

- Click on ‘Forgot registration number’ link.

NEET Question Paper 2020
NEET 2020 question paper will have 180 multiple choice questions in total for 4 marks each. Students must keep one thing in mind while answering the question paper of NEET that there will be negative marking of one mark for every wrong answer. The medium or choice of language is totally on the candidate as NEET question paper is available in 8 regional languages and English, Hindi, Bengali and so on. It has to be kept in mind that the choice of the regional language will depend upon the location of the NEET exam centre 2020.

NEET 2020 exam day guidelines
NEET 2020 exam day guidelines is prepared for the candidates who are going to appear the examination. On the day of exam the candidates get nervous and stressed so, that they forget some important things to remember other than their syllabus.
NEET 2020 Dress Code
The NTA follows the strict rules and regulation in order to maintain discipline. The NTA has specifically given a dress code for the candidates for the exam day along with the list of items which are barred in the examination day. The list is as follows as:
- Light clothes with half sleeves are permitted.
- Long sleeves are not permitted.
- Slippers, sandals with low heels are permitted.
- Shoes are not permitted.
- Ornaments, jewellery items etc. are not permitted.
- Candidates wearing a customary dress should report to the examination centre at least an hour before the last reporting time.
What to carry on the exam day?
- NEET 2020 admit card.
- Two passport size photographs (preferably same as the one submitted with the application form).
- A valid photo Id proof (Driving licence, PAN Card, Passport / Aadhaar card)
- PWD Certificate (if applicable).
What not to carry?
- Stationery item like textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, Geometry/Pencil Box, Plastic Pouch, Calculator, Pen, Scale, Writing Pad, Pen Drives, Eraser, Calculator, Log Table, Electronic Pen/Scanner, etc.
- Communication devices like Mobile Phone, Bluetooth, Earphones, Microphone, Pager, Health Band, etc.
- Other items like Wallet, Goggles, Handbags, Belt, Cap Watch/Wrist Watch, Bracelet, Camera, etc.
- Any eatable item, water bottle, tea, coffee, cold drinks, etc. are not permitted.
- Any other item which could be used for communication devices like a microchip, camera, Bluetooth device, etc.
- Candidates suffering from diabetes are allowed to carry eatables (with prior intimation) like sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/orange) and transparent water bottle. However, they will not be allowed to carry packed foods like chocolate/ candy/sandwich, etc.
Reporting time for NEET 2020
The candidates should have a good time management on the exam day to have a hassle-free day.
- The NEET 2020 reporting time will start at 12 pm.
- The last time for entry will be at 1:30 pm and after that the candidates are not allowed to enter the centre.
Guidelines to follow inside the exam centre
It is essential for the candidates to know the things that have to be done and avoided inside the exam hall. There is a list of instructions that must be followed by all the candidates. Instructions are as follows:
- The candidate must possess their admit card. If any candidate found without a hall-ticket, they will not be allowed to enter the examination hall under any circumstances.
- The candidates must find out and occupy their allotted seats. If any candidate is found appearing exam from a seat or room other than the allotted one, then their paper shall be canceled.
- The exam will start exactly at the time mentioned in the Admit Card and an announcement to this effect will be made by the invigilator.
- If any candidate creates any kind of misbehavior or disturbance at the examination hall, then their paper shall be canceled as per the NEET Rules and Regulations 2020. The committee can place legal or criminal proceedings and the candidate can be restricted from appearing in future examinations.
- The candidates are not allowed to leave the exam hall for any reason before the time. The NEET exam duration is of 3 hours and there is no break in between the exam. Therefore, the candidates are expected to stay in the examination hall for this time period.
NEET 2020 Results
NEET 2020 results will be released by NTA i.e., National Testing Agency on 4th June’ 2020. The result will be available to the candidates online through the official website of NTA. The candidates can download the results by entering their roll number, date of birth and security pin. So, the candidates must keep their documents handy.
Steps to download the NEET 2020 Result
- Go to the official website of NTA-NEET
- Click to “Download Result” tab
- Enter the Roll Number, Date of Birth, Security PIN
- Download the result and take a color printout
NEET 2020 Score Card
NEET 2020 score card is available to download from the official website of NTA. The candidates who has qualify the NEET 2020 exam can download their score card but if not qualified the exam can’t download the score card. The candidates must handle the score card very carefully because they will be needed it at the time of counseling.

How to calculate NEET percentile score?
NTA defines percentile rank as, “the percentage of scores that falls below a given score in a group”. A specific formula is applied on the basis of which the NEET percentile score of a candidate is calculated.
The below formula is used to calculate NEET percentile score: NEET percentile is calculated by taking the product of your marks *100 and divide this product by the highest mark obtained by the top ranker.
